2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream One Corps Members to Pass Out March 31

The Management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially designated Tuesday, March 31, 2026, as the passing-out date for the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream One Corps Members.

This announcement marks the conclusion of the mandatory one-year national service period for thousands of participants deployed across the federation. According to the approved timeline, the discharge process will be conducted as a low-key event, prioritizing the decentralized distribution of Certificates of National Service (CNS) at the local government level nationwide.

In a statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline W. Embu, on behalf of the NYSC Management and published via the Scheme’s official Facebook page, the leadership extended its commendations to the outgoing cohort.

The statement noted: "The Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, wishes the Corps Members a successful winding-up and passing-out exercise." It further emphasized the expectations of the Scheme regarding the conduct of the participants following their discharge from the paramilitary program.

The Director-General specifically charged the outgoing members to remain disciplined and adhere to the foundational principles of the NYSC as they reintegrate into civilian life.

The statement added: "He also urges them to allow the core values of the Scheme to guide them in their post-service relationships as good ambassadors of NYSC." This directive underscores the Scheme's institutional focus on maintaining national unity and character development beyond the active service year.

The formal disengagement process is scheduled to commence on March 13, 2026, with a series of pre-release activities designed to prepare the outgoing participants for the transition into the labor market.

These activities include specialized Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC) sessions facilitated by the NYSC in collaboration with relevant government and private sector agencies.

Additionally, the administrative phase of the winding-up exercise will involve the mandatory signing of final clearances by Zonal Inspectors to verify that all service requirements have been met by the prospective retirees.

With the final clearance process beginning in mid-March, State Coordinators have been directed to ensure that all field offices are fully prepared to handle the documentation of the outgoing personnel.

The NYSC Management has cautioned corps members to avoid unauthorized travel during this period and to follow the official guidelines stipulated for the winding-up exercise to avoid delays in their discharge.
