Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 2–1 home defeat to West Ham United in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday evening, extending the club’s troubling form and amplifying pressure on head coach Thomas Frank.
West Ham took the lead early through Crysencio Summerville’s effort, which was deflected into the net to put the visitors ahead.
Tottenham equalised in the second half when Cristian Romero powered home a header from a Pedro Porro delivery, drawing Spurs level and momentarily lifting the home crowd.
However, West Ham snatched the winner in injury time through substitute Callum Wilson, who struck to secure all three points for the Hammers.
The result compounds Tottenham’s recent struggles, with the club securing just three wins in their last 14 league matches and remaining outside the top half of the Premier League table.
Spurs have also been unable to convert promising performances into points at home, contributing to fan dissatisfaction and ongoing scrutiny of the managerial position.
The defeat leaves Tottenham still searching for consistency and points in the Premier League. With pressure mounting on Frank amid a lengthy run of inconsistent results and home struggles, the club’s leadership and supporters will be closely monitoring performances in upcoming fixtures as Spurs seek to arrest the slide and stabilise their season.
