Oliver Glasner Confirms Crystal Palace Exit at End of Season

Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner has confirmed that he will depart the club at the end of the 2025–26 season, bringing an end to his managerial tenure at Selhurst Park when his contract expires in June.

The announcement was made public on Friday, with Glasner saying he is seeking a new challenge beyond his current role.

Glasner, 51, told reporters that he informed Palace months ago of his decision and that both he and the club agreed to keep the information confidential until this point. He emphasised his desire to pursue fresh opportunities in his coaching career.

“I told the club some time ago that I’m looking for a new challenge,” Glasner said. “We agreed that it would be best to announce it at this time, so the club, the players and the fans know what to expect.”

Glasner has been in charge at Palace since February 2024 and led the club to historic success, including the FA Cup triumph in May 2025 against Manchester City — the first major trophy in the club’s history — and subsequent Community Shield victory.

His announcement comes amid a difficult spell for Palace, including an unexpected FA Cup exit to non-league Macclesfield and a run of winless league results that have tested the squad’s consistency this season.

While Glasner’s contract runs until the summer, Palace are expected to begin planning for his succession, with managerial candidates likely to be considered before the end of the campaign.

The club’s chairman and sporting directors will face decisions on recruitment and long-term strategy as the side aim to navigate both Premier League and Conference League commitments.
