Nottingham Forest Secure Decisive 3-1 Victory as Chelsea Record Worst Losing Streak Since 1993

Nottingham Forest strengthened their push for Premier League survival with a 3-1 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, extending the hosts’ poor run of form and compounding pressure around the club.

Forest made a fast start, taking the lead inside the opening minutes through Taiwo Awoniyi, before doubling their advantage from the penalty spot as Igor Jesus converted after a defensive error.

The visitors maintained control for large spells, and Awoniyi added his second of the match after the restart to put the result beyond doubt.

Chelsea created opportunities but struggled to convert, with Cole Palmer missing a penalty during a disruptive first half that was halted by a serious collision between Jesse Derry and Zach Abbott.

The incident required lengthy medical attention, with Derry eventually stretchered off on his full Premier League debut.

Further disruption followed in the second half when Morgan Gibbs-White and Robert Sánchez were both forced off after a clash of heads, adding to the stop-start nature of the contest.

Chelsea did find a late consolation through João Pedro, whose stoppage-time overhead kick ended the club’s recent scoring drought, but it did little to alter the outcome.

The result extends Chelsea’s losing streak in the Premier League to six matches, underlining their ongoing struggles despite periods of attacking promise.

For Forest, the victory continues a strong run of form and provides a significant boost in their bid to move clear of the relegation zone.
